Personnel Monitoring Service

For personnel who work with radioactive materials and/or X-ray producing devices, AEIL has dosimeter badges to monitor external exposure from ionizing radiation.  Our dosimeter badges meet state and federal specifications for industrial , medical, dental and research applications.  Our badge holder construction is of durable plastic and maximum filtration areas.  High quality film is utilized to monitor a wide range of X-ray, beta and gamma radiation.  AEIL is accredited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program ( NVLAP Lab Code: 100556-0).  Click on the above NVLAP Certification button for AEIL's current certificate and scope of accreditation.

Whole body and extremity dosimeters are available on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly exchange frequency.  Pricing is prorated and is contingent on the number of dosimeters shipped at any one time.

Please call our toll free telephone number (877) 866-2345, for pricing information.

Badge Types

B-4 = Whole body Film badge for monitoring X-ray, Beta and Gamma.
F-4 = Extremity TLD Ring badge for monitoring X-ray, Beta and Gamma.
E-4 = Extremity Film Wrist badge for monitoring X-ray, Beta and Gamma.

Badge Holders - A one time charge of $5.00 is made for each B-4 holder.  E-4 holders have a $10.00 charge.

Control Badge/Dosimeter - The control dosimeter is supplied at no charge.  The control dosimeter is supplied with each regular badge shipment in order to monitor conditions in transit and your badge storage area.  When your exchange period begins, the control dosimeter should be kept in a badge holder and away from all sources of radiation.  At the end of your exchange period, the control dosimeter should be removed from its badge holder and returned for processing with the dosimeters of the same exchange period.

Employee Badge/Dosimeters - Employee badges are charged at the time of shipment.  Employee badges should be worn while on duty and stored with the control badge of the same exchange period when off duty.

Area Monitor Badge/Dosimeters - Area Monitor badges are charged at the time of shipment.  Area Monitor badges should be placed in the area to be monitored for the entire exchange period.

Occupational Radiation Exposure Reports - These dosimetry reports include the current report period, quarter, year-to-date and lifetime exposure totals and comply with NRC and OSHA regulations.  The first report covering one particular exchange period is supplied at no charge.  For your ease in chronological filing a $3.50 processing fee is made for each additional supplemental dosimetry report for that same exchange period.  It is the responsibility of the client to return all badges to our facility for processing.

Change Request - Routine badges are sent two weeks before their due date to assure on time delivery.  Badge additions or deletions to an account are $1.50 each.  Badge deletions must be made 30 days prior to your next exchange period.

New or Reactivated Accounts - A $15.00 set-up and processing fee is incurred.  Upon AEIL's receipt of the initial and completed application form for Personnel Monitoring Service, we require either a Standing Purchase Order on Company Letterhead or a company check in the amount of $75.00 which is applied toward your account.  Once a positive balance is reached on your account, billing occurs on a calendar quarter basis.

Billing - Quarterly itemized invoices/statements payable upon receipt (Terms net 30).  A penalty charge of $10.00 plus 4.5 % of the past due amount per quarter will be added to all past due accounts.

Duration of Service - Service will continue until written notification is received at our office 30 days before cancellation is deemed by the client.  Prices are subject to change without notice, however, clientele are routinely given a 30 day notice for any changes in price.
